The teaching and instructions shall be in accordance with the Bar Council of India Rules. The candidates admitted to the course shall pursue the courses of study. The duration of the course leading to the Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) shall be of three academic years. Each academic year comprises of 2 semesters. Eligibility:- Graduation in any discipline
The college which is in the heart of the city, was started during 1984-85 under the aegis of the Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The trust started the institution with a cherished ambition to impart Legal Education which is a very important step towards spreading legal awareness and empowering the helpless in the society. The college is affiliated to Bangalore University and recognized by Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It conducts three year LL.B. Course since 1984. From 2004-05 Five Year LL.B. law course has been started. The college has a Governing Council duly constituted by Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The first designated lady Senior Advocate in the State, Smt T. N. Manjula Devi has been the Chairperson of the Governing Council. All the members of the Governing Council are accomplished academicians, legal luminaries, management experts and persons of eminence in Public Service. Governing Council also consists of representatives nominated by the Bangalore University. Governing Council meets regularly four times a year to review academic and administrative work. The college has a team of able Full-time Lecturers, senior members of the Bar with vast knowledge, and also Guest faculty with vast experience in teaching. Some of the professors are also elevated to High Judicial Posts. The college is proud to mention a few of them - Hon'ble Justice Prof. K. Bhaktavatsa/a as Judge, High Court of Karnataka, Prof. V Jagannath as Director, Karnataka Judicial Academy and Prof. H. B. Prabhakara Sastry as District and Session Judge. They all served in several capacities including as members of our teaching faculty. The teaching instructions will be in accordance with the Bar council of India and Bangalore University. Medium of Instruction is English. Candidates may at their option, answer in the examination either in English or in Kannada. We look forward in true spirit to new horizons sincerely dedicating ourselves in the field of Legal studies.
