Requirement:-
Candidates shall be required to produce the following documents at the time of admission: (a) LL.B. mark sheet is required to be shown at the time of admission – candidates having more than 55 % in LLB can take admission in LLM. (b) Six copies of stamp size coloured photograph (23mm X 17mm); (c) Certificates of character antecedents from two responsible persons of whom one must be from the head of the institution last studied; (d) Proof of medical fitness certificate with blood group. (e) Caste Certificate/Certificate of Physically Disabled (in original), if any, shall have to be produced at the time of admission
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was established in the year 1999 under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. The University is approved by the UGC and is a member of the Bar coucil of India. The Chancellor of NUJS is also the Chief Justice of India and is also the Chairman of the General Council, the supreme policy-making body of the University. The objectives of the University are to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in national development and promote legal knowledge and to make law and the legal process efficient instruments of social development. It wants to develop in the student and research scholar a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of law by developing skills with regard to advocacy, legal service, legislation, law reforms and the like.
