Admission to the LL.M. Programme is made strictly on merit, based on a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
Eligibility
A candidate with LL.B./B.L. degree or equivalent degree from any University with 55% of marks is eligible to apply for LL.M.. The maximum intake will be 60 subject to SC (15%), ST (7.5%) and disability (3%) reservations.
There is no separate quota for foreign students. Interested foreign students may apply directly in the CLAT application form with supporting documents to the Registrar, NALSAR, Hyderabad on or before 10th April, 2009
The duration of the LL.M. course is two years and each year comprises two semesters. Each candidate must choose an area of specialisation from the following: 1. Human Rights. 2. Environment Law 3. Intellectual Property 4. Corporate Law and Governance (including International Business) 5. Insurance Laws 6. Constitutional Law 7. Criminal Law
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, was established in 1998 under the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act (Andhra Pradesh Act 34 of 1998) of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. The University is located in a 50 acre campus which is around 30 kms from the city.
